Research interest:
My main interests are in bacterial ecology, understanding the mechanisms of bacterial-fungal interaction and how it influences in the biology of fungi. My PhD project focuses in the beneficial bacterial-fungal interactions in attine ants’ gardens. This is a unique system led by multidirectional networks of microbial cooperation with the purpose of successful culture Leucoagaricus spp., the fungus that ants cultivate for food.
