Research interests:

I focus my research on microbial ecology in extreme environments and prospection of extremophilic fungi for biotechnological purposes. My research comprises fungal ecology (using culture-dependent and culture-independent techniques), taxonomy, genomic and prospecting fungi of biotechnological interest.
